The Eternal Being: The Source of Creation and Wisdom
God, the Eternal Creator, brought all things into existence from nothing by His infinite power, wisdom, and love. Before sin, He had already prepared forgiveness. Creation reflects His holiness and grants humanity the free will to choose Him. Holiness begins with intentional love.

God: The Eternal Being Who Originated All Creation
Only an Eternal, Infinite, All-Powerful, Self-Existent Being—possessing all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding—could bring something into existence out of nothing. This self-determined Creator, free from compulsion, chose to unleash His creative power and give rise to the unfathomable complexity of creation across every dimension and plane of existence. Only He could complete “everything” in six days and declare the end from the beginning.
In Genesis, the name Elohim appears in plural form in Hebrew, revealing the infinite expressions and manifestations of God (1 Corinthians 12:6)—three distinct persons united in one divine essence. The glorious mystery of the Trinity is unveiled in the very first verse of God’s Word.
Before anything was created, there was already a Creator. From the foundation of the world, there was a holy, spotless Lamb—slain as a sacrifice for sinners yet to exist. Yes, before the poison of sin, there was the remedy of divine forgiveness (Revelation 13:8).
The story of Genesis is a story of love. Why? Because even knowing that humanity would sin, reject His Word, and rebel against the true Creator, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16; Revelation 13:8). The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29) was slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8)—a free and loving decision by God to redeem us (1 John 4:8–10).
Thus, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).
God’s creative act was born out of love and holiness. He revealed His goodness in creating and His unconditional love in granting rational beings the gift of free will.
God’s perfection required the creation of both a spiritual and physical universe where rational creatures could freely choose whether to follow their Creator. A perfect world is one in which the possibility of rejecting the Creator exists—made possible only by the perfection of God’s love, which created beings in His image, endowed with will and decision-making power.
In the beginning, God created from nothing—without any pre-existing material—a perfect world, free from corruption, where both holiness and sin were possible.
